What If Your New Shoulder Is One Prayer Away
A single testimony can reset a whole room. Pastor Linda Budd from Rivergate Church in Tulsa shares how a focused night of prayer, corporate deliverance, and worship turned into a cascade of healings—starting with a young woman who walked in with a cane and left lifting her arms, feeling heat and tingling replace numbness and pain. When her mother recognized the change and burst into dance, the faith in the room spiked, and suddenly shoulders and backs began to recover as people tested their bodies and found new freedom.
We walk through the structure that made this moment possible: leading everyone to renounce a spirit of infirmity out loud, because spoken words matter; shifting into worship to nurture expectancy; and then asking people to check for change rather than assume it. That practical rhythm—pray, praise, test—keeps things honest and tangible. From there, Linda calls out specific conditions like rotator cuff issues and back pain, inviting people to move, lift, and take three steps forward while declaring their healing rooted in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
Beyond the stories, this conversation offers a simple blueprint for anyone hungry for breakthrough: be specific with your faith, speak with authority, involve your body, and let the community bear witness. Whether you’re curious, skeptical, or ready to try, you’ll hear a down-to-earth approach to healing ministry that prizes clarity, participation, and gratitude. Hi, I'm Linda Budd. I'm a pastor at Rivergate Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And I take the scriptures literally that says that we are to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. And so for several years I've gone after a healing anointing. I've prayed for people dozens of times over the years, and I see so many get healed. I've seen all manner of sickness and disease healed. If you have any pain in your body, if you're infirmed, if you have any disease, if you have any sickness at all, I just reach my hand up to heaven right now in the name of Jesus and I call forth the new body part that you need. Listen to this testimony. During the healing service, I decided it was time that we all did deliverance on ourselves from a spirit of infirmity. And so I had everybody walk to the front and let us in prayers and renouncing all the different manifestations of the spirit of infirmity. And there were about 24 people doing this. And I made sure that everyone was opening their mouth, that they were doing this out loud because demons cannot read your thoughts, but they can hear you when you speak. And so uh we were getting rid of all of these different things. Well, then when we got done, I said, now let's just worship the Lord, and so we did. And then I had everybody check their bodies to see if any change had happened in their bodies. One woman began to get so excited, she had walked into the service with a cane. This was a visitor. I had never met her or seen her before. And suddenly she began lifting her arms and yelling, I could not lift my right arm any higher than this. And she said, I have had a surgery and I had so much pain on the entire right side of my body that it went numb. And I've had to use this cane. This was a young woman, and she said, I can feel heat and tingling in my body. And she began lifting her feet up and down, and she could now do that. And I said, Walk with me, and I kicked her cane aside, and she began to walk with me. And then she just kept on lifting her arms up and down. And so I asked, Does anyone know this woman? Another woman spoke up and said, Yes, this is my daughter. That woman got so excited, she began to dance and run all across the front because her daughter had gotten free. By the end of the meeting, which was about an hour later, this young woman went out of the sanctuary and then she just came running back in and wanted to thank me again and said, Look at me, look at me. I can walk, I can lift my arms. Oh, we give praise to God. As a result of that happening, then I said, Who else needs a rotator cuff healed? Several people did, and they were getting their shoulders healed instantly. I asked, Who else has a back issue like this woman and needs your needs your back issue? Five, six people got their backs healed. And so I want to tell you that if you have a shoulder issue or a back issue right now, begin to receive your healing. There's a new shoulder coming out of heaven for you. There's a new back coming out of heaven for you. Begin to move, begin to take three steps forward and say, this healing belongs to me because of what Jesus did on the Christ on Calvary, cross on Calvary, and I receive my healing now in the name of Jesus. Aren't these just great testimonies of the goodness of God and the healing power of Jesus Christ? If you are interested in having me come and speak at the motivational event, your church, or a conference of some sort, I am more than happy to consider that invitation.
