Minute to Heal It Podcast
A Forearm Ache Led Us To Confront Hidden Spiritual Roots
A night of nonstop testimonies suddenly hit a wall: Pastor Linda Budd’s left forearm began to throb so sharply she could barely keep speaking. That pain wasn’t random. It was a word of knowledge that led us to a man from Vietnam who needed more than a quick prayer—he needed freedom that reached beyond the physical. What followed is a candid look at how healing and deliverance often work together, and why some pain refuses to leave until hidden roots are exposed.
We walk through the moment-by-moment choices in a live service: identifying the person, praying for healing, leading forgiveness, and confronting spiritual resistance tied to family history and oppressive visitations. When relief didn’t come on cue, we pressed deeper into biblical patterns—Jesus healing the sick and casting out demons, the reality of spirits of infirmity, and the importance of renouncing inherited ties that keep people stuck. The story doesn’t glamorize spiritual warfare; it shows the sober work of discipleship, boundaries, and follow‑through that make freedom last.
You’ll hear practical takeaways for prayer teams and seekers alike: how to test for underlying issues, what “breaking tracking” means, why ongoing teaching matters, and how to steward authority with compassion and clarity. If you’ve wondered why some conditions improve instantly while others linger, this conversation offers a grounded, hope‑filled framework to pursue both healing and deliverance with wisdom. Subscribe, share this episode with someone who needs hope, and leave a review to help more people discover a path to lasting freedom.

Hi, I'm Linda Budd. I'm a pastor at Rivergate Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And I take the scriptures literally that says that we are to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. And so for several years I've gone after a healing anointing. I've prayed for people dozens of times over the years, and I see so many get healed. I've seen all manner of sickness and disease healed. If you have any pain in your body, if you're infirmed, if you have any disease, if you have any sickness at all, I just reach my hand up to heaven right now in the name of Jesus and I call forth the new body part that you need. Listen to this testimony. I was leading a healing service, and one person after another after another was getting healed, going on for an hour and a half. The presence of God was so thick in that service to heal the sick that it was just absolutely astounding. Suddenly, my forearm on my left arm started aching, and I think I ignored it at first because I was so busy watching the Lord heal people everywhere. And then it just began to ache and ache, and suddenly it started aching so hard I felt like I was going to cry. And I stopped everything and I said, Is there someone here that has pain in the forearm? Well, no one really responded except a nurse, and so I prayed for that person, but I knew it wasn't them. Um, they said it wasn't even hurting at the moment, but that sometimes it does. Well, then suddenly a man from another country from Vietnam spoke up and said that it was his arm. And I said, Yes. And so I called him forward and I declared a new forearm and that he was healed in the name of Jesus. He said the pain didn't leave, and I could tell it didn't, because my arm was still hurting so bad I wanted to cry. Well, so I said, Have you forgiven people? He said, Yes, I have. And I said, Well, let me just lead you in a prayer forgiveness, just to cover our basis. And so we did. I still felt no relief from this word of knowledge, and he didn't either. And so I asked the congregation, what do we do? And because he had already been through deliverance from a spirit of infirmity earlier in the evening, and so uh I said, Do you have a lot of relatives in Vietnam that aren't following the Lord? Yes, he said everyone is pagan, and so I knew that this was more deliverance that was needed, and then he said, suddenly he said, Visit demons visit me all the time. He said, But I just discern them and tell them to get off. And I responded to this young man, and I said, You really need to come and you need to take our class called Freedom of the Believer, and of course you can take it online, and he would not commit to it. So I prayed for him again, he got no relief, and neither did I. And I went home and I had this terrible pain on my arm that was a result of a word knowledge for this man to be healed. I want to tell you that demons are real, and I want to tell you that the devil is real, and I want to tell you that a spirit of infirmity is real, and attacks are real, and hereditary demons are real. We broke tracking off from Vietnam to here, and I broke tracking off of me. And so uh I just want to tell you that you cannot mess around with this. When the enemy attacks your body, it is an issue of healing and deliverance. And as a Christian, for you not to find out about these things and not to take care of these things, is absolutely misguided and undisciplined on your part. And so I just call us all in to receive the deliverance of the Lord, not just the healing, but to learn to do deliverance and to want to in Jesus' name. Aren't these just great testimonies of the goodness of God and the healing power of Jesus Christ? If you are interested in having me come and speak at the motivational event, your church, or a conference of some sort, I am more than happy to consider that invitation.
