Minute to Heal It Podcast

One Woman’s Ribs, Spine, And Seizures Restored Through Prayer

Linda Budd Episode 1325

What happens when faith meets pain in a crowded room and someone says, “I can breathe”? We sit down with Pastor Linda Budd from Rivergate Church in Tulsa to walk through a sequence of moments that move from sharp ribs pain to deep breaths, from a bent spine to standing tall, and from weekly seizures to two quiet weeks of freedom. It’s a story told with urgency and care, framed by a conviction that prayer isn’t theory but an act of authority meant to serve real people with real needs.

Linda opens by sharing why she takes the command to pray for the sick at face value and how that shapes her ministry. Then we enter a midweek service where a visitor reports broken ribs and pain, only to gasp with relief moments later. The scene expands: the same woman returns with news of a fractured spine and long-term epilepsy. Linda describes confronting epilepsy as a controlling force and the room watches as the woman straightens in front of them. When she comes back days later reporting zero seizures after years of weekly episodes, the testimony shifts from a flash to a pattern, and the community leans in.

We talk through the heart behind bold declarations, the responsibility to follow up, and the tension of hope when outcomes vary. Whether you approach healing through faith, curiosity, or skepticism, you’ll hear why breath, posture, and daily freedom are the metrics that matter most to people in pain. The conversation invites you to consider authority, compassion, and the courage to keep praying when answers come quickly or slowly. Listen, reflect, and tell us how these stories land with you.

SPEAKER_00:

Hi, I'm Linda Budd. I'm a pastor at Rivergate Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And I take the scriptures literally that says that we are to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. And so for several years I've gone after a healing anointing. I've prayed for people dozens of times over the years, and I see so many get healed. I've seen all manner of sickness and disease healed. If you have any pain in your body, if you're infirmed, if you have any disease, if you have any sickness at all, I just reach my hand up to heaven right now in the name of Jesus and I call forth the new body part that you need. Listen to this testimony. It was a recharge service on a Wednesday night, and I had just gotten done preaching, and I saw a woman whom I've never seen before, and I asked her if she had pain in her back. She responded that she did not, but that she had fallen and broken her ribs. She was in pain. I told her to walk to the front. So as she walked up, I got hit with that wonderworking power. I then told her she was healed. She began to say, I can breathe, I can breathe. She was so excited. I asked her if the pain was gone, and she reported that it was. But the thing she was most excited about was that she could breathe. Sunday night, she came back. She testified that she could still breathe just fine. She then said that when she fell, she fractured her spine. I told her to walk to the front and Jesus would give her a new spine. As she was coming to the front, she also said that she had left epilepsy. Oh, that's when I got mad. Epilepsy is a controlling spirit from the devil, and I am not going to tolerate it. I have seen so many healed who have had it, even 30 seizures per day, gone in an instant. Now, when she started coming forward, she was very much bent over to the side because of the fracture of her spine. But I took authority over that epileptic devil, and suddenly, right before everyone's eyes, she totally straightened up. The usher was a big guy, and he started screaming. He saw it right in his face, and she was so stunned as well and smiling big. Everyone there thought, I saw it as well. I explained that she also got delivered from that epileptic demon, but I didn't know for sure. So here she came back on a Wednesday night, and she looked so good standing up tall and straight. And at the close of the service, I asked for testimonies. Well, she came up to share all of the above that I just told you. And then she stated that she no longer has epilepsy. I asked her how she how often she had those seizures, and she stated at least once a week and had had it that way for years and years. Well, now it's been two weeks and she's had no seizures. Glory to God. Do not tolerate epilepsy. It is a devil, it is not very strong, and you can get mad at that thing, and you can because you have authority over it, and you can look that thing in the face in the spirit, and you can say, in the name of Jesus, you epilectic devil, you are coming up and out now, and you are not going to control this person any longer. And I declare that you are free in the name of Jesus. Aren't these just great testimonies of the goodness of God and the healing power of Jesus Christ? If you are interested in having me come and speak at the motivational event, your church, or a conference of some sort, I am more than happy to consider that invitation.
