Minute to Heal It Podcast

A Couple Finds Relief As Prayer Breaks Pain And Panic

Linda Budd Episode 1330

What does it feel like to hand over a cane and start marching with a grin? We sit with that moment and trace the path that led to it as Pastor Linda Budd from Rivergate Church in Tulsa shares a story of bold prayer, burning neuropathy, and unexpected freedom that ripples through a family. The episode opens with a clear conviction: take the scriptures at their word about laying hands on the sick and expecting recovery. From there, we step into a healing service where a husband’s slow, careful movements give way to confident strides and a wife’s tight breath eases into calm.

You’ll hear how a simple invitation—walk to the front—became a turning point. The husband describes burning pain that made shoes a daily battle, then stands steadier than he has in years, cane in hand rather than under it. His wife watches in tears as he lifts his feet high like a march, confirming what they both feared was lost. Then, a second surprise: she responds to a word of knowledge about breathlessness and panic. As prayer addresses the panic and a memory from her childhood surfaces, she experiences release that feels both emotional and physical. Together they leave changed—less burden, more breath, and the kind of joy that follows breakthrough.

We close with focused prayer for anyone living with neuropathy, declaring relief from burning pain and a fresh start. If you’ve wrestled with chronic symptoms, anxiety, or the quiet grief of lost mobility, this story offers both hope and a next step: ask boldly, move when asked, and test what’s possible. SPEAKER_00:

Hi, I'm Linda Budd. I'm a pastor at Rivergate Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And I take the scriptures literally that says that we are to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. And so for several years I've gone after a healing anointing. I've prayed for people dozens of times over the years, and I see so many get healed. I've seen all manner of sickness and disease healed. If you have any pain in your body, if you're infirmed, if you have any disease, if you have any sickness at all, I just reach my hand up to heaven right now in the name of Jesus and I call forth the new body part that you need. Listen to this testimony. A lady called in who attends our church and she comes by herself. Her I didn't even know she was married, but she said, I want to come to the miracle healing service and bring my husband. He's got problems. And so she came with him and I saw him for the first time. And he did look like he had problems. He was walking with a cane and he was very slow. And so as the service progressed, I said, Sir, what do you need? And he said, I have neuropathy. And so I said, Are your feet and legs numb? And he said, No, but they burn. And it's very difficult for me to put my shoes on. It just takes me forever. And so forth. And I said, Well, if you will stand up and walk to me, the neuropathy is going to leave you, and you're going to get your feet back, and you won't need that cane any longer. And so he began walking the aisle with his cane. When he got to me, the power of God hit him. You could see it. And I said, Now give me your cane. You don't need it. And he was hesitant. And I said, I'll take your hand. And we began to walk around a little bit. And then he turned to the whole congregation and he started lifting his feet up and down like if he were marching in place. And uh I thought that this was going on. And so I said, Is this uh normal? He said, No, I couldn't do this. And his wife was sitting there and she began to cry and cry, and she said, He could not do that. And so I noticed that when they left the building, he was walking without his cane and he was just carrying it. And then the great part is we asked her, What do you need to be healed of? And she uh she oh she had responded to a word of knowledge about somebody trying to catch their breath, and it was a panic attack. And she said, Yes, that's me. And so she walked the aisle and we said, That's no longer gonna be on you, and the power of God hit her as well. And then suddenly I saw a picture of when she was a young girl and something with her dad that caused this panic, and she said, Yes, and all of that came off of them. So that couple got to leave the building, leave the church, leave the presence of God, and go home healed in the name of Jesus. If you suffer with neuropathy, I declare right now to you, in the name of the Lord, that the pain of the neuropathy is stopping, the problem is stopping, and you are being set free right now in the name of Jesus. Aren't these just great testimonies of the goodness of God and the healing power of Jesus Christ? If you are interested in having me come and speak at a motivational event, your church, or a conference of some sort, I am more than happy to consider that invitation.
