Minute to Heal It Podcast

New Elbow, New Toe, Same God

Linda Budd Episode 1334

Pain has a way of shrinking our world, and today we open it back up with two precise stories of relief: an aching left elbow that stopped hurting after a simple prayer, and a broken toe on the right foot—second from the little toe—named with detail and restored with unexpected ease. I share how years of practicing prayer for the sick shaped my confidence, language, and expectation, and why specificity—calling out exact locations, symptoms, and limits—helps people notice real change rather than rely on vague feelings.

We walk through the moment-by-moment texture of ministry: a direct declaration of healing, a surge of power that drops me to the floor, and laughter that follows as tension releases. Then a friend discerns an unusual toe issue while I’m still on the ground, and the room shifts from surprise to action. These snapshots show how community matters: people catch, pray, verify, and celebrate. Whether you label it miracle or mystery, the transformation is tracked by reduced pain, improved movement, and a lighter heart.

Along the way, we talk about the deeper questions: How do we hold bold faith without hype? What does it mean to “call forth” what a body needs in Jesus’ name? How do we test claims in practical, everyday ways? I offer a grounded approach—name the need, pray clearly, check the result, and keep a record. For anyone curious about Christian healing, or looking for hope when fear of long-term pain looms, these testimonies provide both encouragement and a simple pattern to try in your own faith community.

If the stories encourage you, share them with someone who needs hope today. Subscribe for more testimonies and practical teaching, leave a review to help others find the show, and tell us what healing question you want us to explore next.

SPEAKER_00:

Hi, I'm Linda Budd. I'm a pastor at Rivergate Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And I take the scriptures literally that says that we are to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. And so for several years I've gone after a healing anointing. I've prayed for people dozens of times over the years, and I see so many get healed. I've seen all manner of sickness and disease healed. If you have any pain in your body, if you're infirmed, if you have any disease, if you have any sickness at all, I just reach my hand up to heaven right now in the name of Jesus and I call forth the new body part that you need. Listen to this testimony. Wow, what a God we serve. My husband said someone has pain in the left forearm from the elbow down to the wrist. And I was standing beside him, and I said, That's me, but it's only in the elbow area. And I said, But I'll take it. And he said, Here is your new uh elbow in the name of Jesus. And when he said that, the power of God hit me so strong that I fell out in the spirit, and thank the Lord someone caught me. Then I was down on the floor and I got hit with laughter. And so I was laughing and laughing, and so people took over for me because this was a service. And so my friend got up and I heard her say, This is very odd that the Lord is showing me that someone's toe on the right side, on the right foot, um, someone's toe, the second toe from the side of your foot where your little toe is, the second toe from the end, has a problem. And I'm on the floor and I said, That's me. And so she gave me a new toe. Well, what had happened was that about a couple months ago, I broke that toe, and it has been bothering me, even though I taped it up. And I had just said to the Lord that day, Well, I need you to fix my toe because I can't go into old age and have arthritis in this toe. And I want you to know that that toe no longer has any pain in it, praise be to God, and neither does my elbow. He is a healing God, and he'll do it for you now in Jesus' name. Aren't these just great testimonies of the goodness of God and the healing power of Jesus Christ? If you are interested in having me come and speak at the motivational event, your church, or a conference of some sort, I am more than happy to consider that invitation. Please contact my church's office, Rivate Church Tulsa, 918 492 5511, and we'll see if we can set something up. God bless you.
