When Your Chest Starts Hurting During Prayer

Your body starts hurting for no reason and it won’t let up. Do you ignore it, push through it, or treat it like a prompt to pray for someone standing right in front of you?

We tell a true-to-life story from a Sunday night Encounters Healing Service where a young man receives prayer and healing for a hip problem, plus a prophetic nudge: people at his popular city restaurant are going to notice the change, and he’s meant to tell them what happened. Two weeks later he returns, not alone, but with a young woman from work who looks genuinely scared to be in church. We slow down long enough to show how welcome, safety, and simple kindness can matter as much as any dramatic moment.

The young man had come to the Encounters Healing Service on Sunday night, and I prophesied to him, and I also got him healed of a hip problem. He told me that he worked at a pretty popular restaurant here in the city.
