A Strange Sensation Leads To Real Healing

A sermon can be perfectly planned and still get interrupted by something you can’t explain. While we’re preaching about the centurion and the kind of faith that amazes Jesus, a sudden, strange sensation hits one of us in the ear and we can’t ignore it. We stop, ask the room who has an ear problem, and what follows is a real-time look at how a word of knowledge and healing prayer can unfold when you’re willing to pause and listen. 

Three people respond, and the outcome is messy in the most human way: two receive prayer with no immediate change, then the third describes “bubbling” in his ear that matches the exact sensation we felt. We pray, we declare healing, we wait, and within minutes the bubbling stops. He starts laughing with relief and shares how bad it had been, even stealing sleep at night. Well, this guy then that's getting his ears healed of the bubbling says, by the way, my father's name is Robert, and he he was very abusive to me, and um, I have some issues there, and I said, Well, let's just get all that pain off of you. And so we did, and we were able to pray some really nice prayers over him that the father would heal his heart and so forth. And then some more stuff began to get healed in this man's body, his ankles got healed, and then I called out a word of knowledge for a sciatica, and he raised his hand and he said, Well, my wife's not here, but she has this problem.
